Hello Everyone. What a great general conference no!? I absolutely loved it. I watched it right here on my computer in english cause they didnt have the right cable at the church. Its just so much better in english hearing the actual voice of the apostles and profet. I loved it. I hope you asll enjoyed it too. Something i did was write 2 questions i had about life or anything really and i went into conference and got the 2 questions answered. Its pretty neat seeing and feeling that. So it has changed my plans a little bit on what i want in the future. This week was an interesting week. I dont remember too much of what happened honestly. The conference was great. Then we had meetings everyday and it was busy in the office. Were going to be raising the asignacion or the monthly money we recieve. Argentina is not good right now economically. Everything is expensive and its just sad to see so many members and people struggling. Its hard for us as well sometimes as we rarely have lunches. On tuesday elder castillo my comp from bariloche and i went on exchanges in my area and we taught and found new investigators. It was really fun. We found a family of 3 who wants to be baptized but not in this moment. They like drinking and smoking but for now they just want to listen. This to me was good news. Because they didnt want to commit to anything becasue they said when they are ready they will truly change and be baptized. I like that because they will be stronger members when they decide to change. But They just said they had no desire reight now to change. So we invited them to pray and develop this desire it was a great lesson really. After this lesson we went to Roberto. He is a gytano. Or a gypsie. There are tons of gypsies here. We learned about their culture and what not. They speak another language as well. Its nuts. But we talked about hte restoartion the last time and this time about hte plan of salvacion. He loved it, both and wants hid familyto have what the gospel offers. But we still havent invited the mto be baptized as there are about 6 people in his family and we have onloy taught him. BUt listen to this: HIs daughter who is 13 years old is worht 50,000 pesos right now. Only a gypsie can marry her as well. And this guy has to pay 50k pesos then its his wife. The girl has to agree as well, but still its pretty whack. The idea of the gypsies is interesting. I think its more of traditions than a religion. I would love to help them accept the gospel but im not sure if its possible to be gypsie and mormon. SO we will talk about htat next time to see if we will keep stopping by.On wednesday, we had a normal office day and at 5 pm. We left the office. One of hte assistants, elder pickett was a sick so we went over to their pension so i could stay with sick elder and my comp and vizcarr the other assistant went out in their area. ABout 15 minutes after they left i hear thunder outside. Then about 2 minutes later it started pouring. Then hailing. This was the worst hailstorm i have ever layed eyes on. The hail was like the big marbles. Just pounding everything. The roads flooded and hail was about 1 foot deep on the grass and everywhere. It was nuts. We threw hail balls outside and had a fun time. Its too bad i didnt have my camera. Maybe i will steal from another elder. But it was locisimo.Last night at 8 pm we had a district meeting. I brought alfajores for everyone and we had some good practices and it was overall a fun meeting. My district is 4 hermanas and 6 elders including hte asistants. Its a fun district with lots of firepower, Lots of studs in the district who know how to work we are seeing a lot of success.LOve you all. I thinki will send pictures today maybe.ELder Westensee
