Hello everyone. I enjoy reading your emails. I laughed hard when i heard tyler started off with a joke in his talk and no one laughed. I have spoken every week, sometimes twice a day, but im used to it and i get the peeps laughing pretty good. I joke about my allergies and how i sound nasaly. But that was funny. Poor lilly and her health. That would be tough. Sounds like home is paradise. Cabin is coming along, golfing a ton, and winning trips to Hawaii. Dang. Well I still cant say i have been happier than i am now i am loving it out here working hard and trying to work thhrough the grind. I am doing well besides my allergies. Hope all continues to be well.Real quick, this morning we studied with the ZL's. We learned why people are black, and what our purpose is as missionaries. Also, that all the people of Manassa and Ephraim are called to be missionaries on the earth at this specific time. Also, we are looking for those people who are ready for the celestial kingdom. That is the work we are doing right now as missionaries and member missionaries. CELESTIAL work. The terrestial and telestial work has not even begun. Also we learned about how black people rejected the preisthood in the pre mortal life but now they accepted it so they are in the earth now. But it was a curse because they rejected it previous. so that was cool. Anyways this is probably boring as junk to yall but its like the coolest thing ever for me right now.NOw for the week summary:Monday- P-day: I didnt see dad in IF, oh well. But not much happened it was just a relaxed day and we played settlers and ate food.Tuesday: We walked a ton today because we are running low on miles. Contacted a few people then we went over to Ricardo's house for a lesson. We taught about the gospel of Jesus Christ. He liked it then he had questions about chastity and the word of wisdom so we taught those lessons too. He is doing well and hes a cool kid.Wednesday: Zone training again. It was good. My allergies were off the charts bad that day. Red eyes watering and just pressure in my nose stuffed completely. But it was good we talked about suffering and how if we were not suffering we are doing something wrong. I sort of disagreed and said i have been happier than i ever have in my life and how it may be tough and tiring especially with allergies but overall we shouldnt be "suffering"....idk it was interesting. Our DL is weird. But i love him and he is great and it was a strong meeting for our zone.Thursday: During our visit with Ricardo, he invited us over for dinner for lasagna and cheescake. It was the most full i have been in a while. I almost threw up. it was so good though. Homemade cheescake. Then we....taught about tithing and left. We are planning on watching the joseph smith movie with hime soon. That night we went to the Maria family out in the stix. They had their cousins over. There was a girl there who obviously liked me and was trying to hit on me bad. She said i look like tom cruise??? and everyone joined and agreed and started laughing lol. But ill take it! But we taught a lesson to about 10 kids and 4 parents. We were all about same age. In english. We talked a lot about the restoration. After we just hungout with them and talked about cars. I will probably come back and visit Ozzy Maria hes cool and he wants to see my car when i get it. Their whole family likes cars so we connect very well. That was a good visit.Friday: We did hardly anything this day. We had a meeting in idaho falls for trainers. Then we went home and tracted.Saturday: It rained a bunch. We drove around in puddles a lot. BIG puddles. It was fun. A little crazy and not entirely productive but fun. Flash flood. Then Finau is like "I know where this huge puddle is" so we drove like 10 minutes to this muddy road it then turned into a narrow road.....with a RIVER ON BOTH SIDES. There was about an inch of room on both sides before it started going down into the river. SCARY. I thought we were dead cause you have to keep speed so we dont get stuck but when you go fast in mud you lose control easy. Needless to say, may impressive driving skills and the spirit of the lord prevailed.Sunday: Sunday was good. Ward council, speaking in church, (english) , and the day was slow. We didnt have food or anything so we drove to the ZL's and raided their fridge. That night we visited my boi carlos, with the red truck and sound system haha. We visited the Maria family again and got the oldest son 25 yrs old to come to church. All the kids like me cause i talk cars with them so they listen. I told the oldest brother he can be an example to his whole family and he agreed. So i hope he comes to church with everyone they are good people. So that was about everything. Today were going to IF for mongolian grill. thats about it and were gonna play risk. This is for tyler: Look up the song "Dutty Love" by Don Omar. Its cool. I heard it in carlos' truck.Love you all i pray for you tons. Hope lilly is going to be ok now and in the future. Thats so sad :( Heather and Kevin are great so i feel like she will be ok. I miss my neices and nephew and my family but i will be back one day! For now, take it easy and enjoy life! Love,Elder Westenseeeeeee

Anywyas thank yall for the emails it is good to hear from everyone.Everyone sounds good. Lilly is always sick! Poor Child! B and P seem to be growing up fast at Seaworld! Andrew is still a working stiff lol. Dad is still dad golfing a lot. Dustin and Marissa seems to be doing well for the most part :) So it was good to hear from yall! This week went by quick. Busy Busy Busy but still struggling with success.Monday- P-Day We went to Poky and play basketball. Thats about it.Tuesday- District meeting, i shared a little thought in spanish, it was fun. I tried cutting my hair afterwards in the bathroom and i chopped right above my ear lol a bald spot!!!!!!!!! My companion was laughing so hard! But i went and got it fixed....kind of not really. But its just hair. Then we fixed our phone finally. The screen was busted. Then we just visited some investigatorrs.Wednesday- Same old day. We met a guy named Ricardo tho. He is cool. He said he was waiting for us. He is an MMA fighter and his trainer is the best fighter in Utah and idaho. Were going to stop by his gym later today. BUt he said he has been waiting for us to show up. He has already read the BOM and prayed and he knows its right. He will be baptized soon. but we dont have a date quite yet. We still need to teach a lot.Thursday- We met some bums at a gas station the night before and they said to meet at mcdonalds at noon today. They didnt show up so we went bum hunting under the bridges by the snake river. Never found them. It was a slow day. Lots of rejection.Friday- We visited Merced Flores (one legged old man) otra vez. At 9 am. He is stoppping coffee and smoking then he will be baptized. But he is a colorful guy. He is animated. And passionate about Jesus. So thats good. He is having stomach issues so thats a set back always. He calls us and says we cant come for 3 days cause he is in the "clinic". at the hopsital.who knows if he actually is or is just saying that so he can drink his coffee and smoke. But he will come around. His date is set for the 21st of september.Saturday- We fasted today for the zone investigators. Good experience. Then we had dinner at a spanish members house. it was amazing chicken and potatoes and corn. GREAT food. The mom loves me and wants me to marry her 17 year old daughter after the mish. LOL haha.....no. But they are nice people. Then we went to a ward party and hung out and got a few members to give us referrals.Sunday- Me and Finau spoke in the 1st ward. It was an old church with an upper deck and an elevator it was cool! I spoke for 20 mins first and talked about golf and missionary work and spiritual gifts, etc. Funny story. Me and my comp played a game. We each gave each other a word we had to fit in to our talks. My word was parfait. I fit it in nicely and no one noticed. FINAU on the other hand lol. He started talking about football cause i talked about golf. He said since were talking about our favorite sports he can talk about football. So he says this in a encouraging leader type pump up- rant "Brothers and sisters! you are the lineman blocking for us missionaries, who are the quarterbacks!!! We cant score without you! So lets get out there and score! And then we can sit on the sidelines and enjoy a strawberry shortcake!!!....I dont know why im thinking about strawberry shortcakes..." lol the place erupted and it was just great. then after our talks everyone came up and talked to us and loved our talks. One guy came up to me and offered to take us golfing on P-day in 3 weeks. So thats legit! Then we taught sunday school, at 1pm, we went to spanish ward until 4. Then dinner then visit families then bed. BUSY DAY.Now its p day my time to relax and enjoy Idaho Falls! Love you all I hope all goes well for you. I know im a goof ball and i always will be, but i know this church is true! There is so much evidence! And not only that the spirit testifies of the truth as well!Love, Elder Westensee

Poky Week 4
This week was full of new things. Kind of. Sounds like home is going good still! POOR LILLY! oh my goodness. I cant imagine. Mom, if you go to the cabin alone, bring the glock. Dad, you met Uchtdorf!? at a golf course? im jealous. Tyler and his chick fil-a haha. Andrew and Tasha with their new life in Texas sounds sweet. Sea World, painting walls, teaching deacons. All seems to be well. I hope Lilly starts doing better :(I will try sending more pictures next week. maybe one a week. did you get my other pictures?Well,I am going to start doing my emails like Elder Call does them. Its classy and organized.Monday- P-Day. Pdays are always the best. We drove down into Pocatello with our Zone leaders who are cool. Elder Morales and Solorio. Both from mexico and are Bi-lengual. Also spanish elders. We played basketball and got sushi there (all you can eat). It was gooooooood. best sushi ever. Then went home and worked for a little and visited families.Tuesday- Zone Training Day. from 10:30-1:30 I hate meetings but im numb to them now. Time doesnt exist i dont care to look at a clock because its pointless. The meeting is over when its over. It was good though we discussed lots of mission stuff/ Rules and what not. In the evening we stopped by the sandoval family and shared the restoration and they are planning on getting baptized (husband and wife) when miguel their son is out of jail in 2 weeks.wednesday- Normal day. Appointments and tracting. We walked into town which is about 5 miles but about 10 steps in, a member picked us up. We were walkijng in the town with busy cars and stuff and ran into a kid with a red hat and saggy jeans named Rudy. He was way nice and we set up an appointment with him for later.Thursday- Normal day. Kind of dead. nothing special.Friday- We had our first exchanges with the Zone Leaders, Morales and Solorio. I went with solorio. he has been out 22 months. Hes seasoned and really helped me and our area out. He got the area book out and i didnt even know anything about an area book. But we visited a lot of people and set up lots of appointments. it was great. The auto garage we always stop by, we finally got a lesson in about prophets. it was right there in the auto garage and was hot but we think they will be baptized soon. Then we had dinner (ribs, corn on the cob, and scalloped potatoes) reminded me of a mom meal. Was so goood. There was a down syndrom boy at the table lol he had about 50 ribs. Delicious. after we went and invited people to spanish conference on saturday/sunday. we went out with president and one of his councelors went with other elders.Saturday- Spanish Conference. We drove with Carlos to Menan. OK. Carlos is legit. He speaks only spanish but were like freinds. He is about 30. but still. He has a red gmc truck thats lowered with 22" rims haha. With a sound system that would blow a dress off an old woman. He plays some sick spanish music though haha. Anyways the conference was in Menan next to rexburg sort of. All it was was an all day party outside with a soccer tournament, food, music and stuff. One of our investigators showed up so that was good. We took second in the tourny by the way. I always play defense cause i suck otherwise.Sunday- Spanish conference at BYU-I. We had conference right where my church sacrament was in the Kimpball auditorium. I saw my old ward there.....from college. We ate right in front of the arts building after. Then went home. Then to a dinner appointment authentic mexican it was soooo gooood. Then talked about cars with the kids who are 25-18-16-14-9-8-4 and 2 other young ones. Lots of kids who want me to come back with my car and see them. Sunday was good.My week was good. I am sort of just numb at this point as far as time goes. I just think about working hard and having fun. Seems to be working. Thank you everyone for the emails. It helps a lot. I miss you all and will try to post pictures next week. Love you all. Chow.-Elder Westensee

.Pocatello Week 3.
Hello everyone! Thanks for your emails this week! Things are going well here in Idaho. I am still healthy...and skinny. I wish i could put weight on but i guess thats just not happening yet. We arent getting fed like i thought. We only had 1 dinner this week so we have to keep buying food. Its annoying but what can ya do. Also, our phone broke so we cant see the screen, EXACTLY like my phone broke in college. So thats tough as well. The work is going slow. I wish we had baptisms lined up but were getting there. I am learning a lot and making the best of Idaho.
This week was ok. We found a 67 year old guy who is whack. He is a psycho. But its hilarious. We ask him what he is doing to prepare to meet god and all he says is he needs to take the pizza box out and check the mail for his pills. Then we say "well, what are you doing spiritually" and then he pauses and goes on the pizza box rant again. Then, we showed him on his computer the Prophet speaking and you could tell he felt something but he denied it and then talked about Joseph Smiths wardrobe....how he wore too nice of clothes and that Jesus wore a robe....so random. So after an hour i was done haha i asked him to say the closing prayer. He was about to say no but then me and Finau bowed our heads and folded are arms lol. Got him! So then he just goes into his prayer. "Hello god....hows it going...thank you for the 2 elders so that they could take my pizza box out. amen." hahaha i was dying inside and when we left i was laughing for hours. This guy was a wackadoodle. But it was a fun time.
Another fun part of the week was we went to a quincienera at a club called "The centenario" A quincienera is when the mexican girl turns 15, she has a huge fiesta. So we got invited to that and it was our dinner for saturday. It was interesting. But we left when everyone started dancing. It was a ward party type deal nothing special.
Yesteray i met the sandovals. We think they will be baptized when miguel gets out of jail. He is their 20 year old son. We went over and the dad had his shirt off and there was flies all over and it smelled like a hot foot forest. And he has a tattoo of a naked girl on his arm haha. But regardless, everyone makes mistakes, he is a good man and wants to do good. So were working with them now.
Merced Flores, 67 year old man with one leg, has surgery today on his stomach. He got an infection of some sort. If he survives he will be baptized. So i feel like we are having success just not with numbers. And some people only look at the numbers. So they always put us down but i dont give a crap what they think. Our DL for example gets on us all the time but he doesnt understand spanish work is a whole different ballgame. Anyways, im happy with the work im doing with Finau. We work so hard i know the numbers will show up if we dont focus on them.
ummm.....not much else is really happening. I drive by an STI every day and melt. I stopped by to look at it and went in and talked with the owner of the dealership and he let me start it and rev the engine. Im not gonna lie I was getting very excited. Its an 06 stock blue STI. gorgeous.
I am staying healthy and working hard. P-days are the best and we are going to poky today to play ball and get some sushi with everyone. So that should be fun. Anyways, i think about everyone very much and cant wait to see all your gorgeous faces again.
I am going to try to put some pictures on now. I dont know what pictures i put up... but whatever it is. It should be from idaho.
Thank you all. have a great week. Love,
-Elder Westensee
