August 26th Weekly Letter

Hey i dont have much time. Its been crazy. Right when i sit down to write, i get a call to go do something. But here we go!

This week was sweet. Lots of interesting things happened. I lost a lot of sleep and have been just kind of zombie all he time but its ok. I will nap on P day. 

I dont remember the days when these things happened as the days are just meshing together. But here we go.

There was an elder in the mission who was very mentally....not ok. He was in an area and was sent to teh office for 3 days and then was sent home. The thing is....he was psychotic. He thought he was Jesus, and that he was going to marry a girl from the mission who just went home. He would try to put more clouds in the sky and put more pringles in my empty can of pringles....i am not going to lie it was hilarious at times. But then after i just realized how sad it really is because he had a mental illness. He left the mission normal and went home crazy. COuld you imagine if i came home like that? JUst out of nowhere i came home thinking i was Jesus Christ. He said i was going to be an apostle one day.....then again he told everyone that haha. In the night, he got foot powder and sprayed it everywhere and all over himself and said he ressurrected...... It was really weird. We dont know how but we blessed the house when he left. I could talk about this guy and what he said and did but for now i will leave it at. Poor guy. I hope he returns to normal soon. 

We went bowling for p day. That was cool. We always end up talking to the guy who works there about the plan of salvation as he has tons of questions. I like it. So that was fun. 

We made Papoosas for lunch one day. Elder Castillo from El Salvador made them with an hermana from el salvador. They were great. Its like tacos with flour shells. Nothing too special but it was a fun lunch.

We had an activity on the church one night and we got to direct it all. It was great. We shared a message about hte priesthood and played some games. Everyone loved it. We also celebrated an old guys birthday. His name is hno. Juvenal. We gave him a cane and he loved it....i think....he is 91 so he was really kind of just out of it. But wow he is a real great old man. You can tell he has seen a lot. 

ummmmm.......My allergies have been killing me. I went and got some medicine and its been a little better but you know how it is. Not much i can do. I have been drinking honey and manzanilla tea. It helps a ton. I got the honey from a street  vender for 50 pesos. Soooo good with the tea nad it helps so i will keep doing that. 

Sunday we had 2 investigators come to church. It was awesome. Our area is booming right now. We first strating teaching Octavio who we found walking on the street. Then we just started knocking on all his neighbors doors. Now we have Tino, Octavio, Juan, and Jose. 4 baptismal dates and they are all more or less great and prepared for baptism. We will see though how it all goes but im pumped. We tell them to just all come to church together. They get all excited and like it. So next week im excited as well. 

IN the office its been same old stressful stuff. Im getting worn out. Maybe i will leave this transfer. But i dont know whats going to happen i will do whatever the lord needs me to do.
