August 16th Weekly Letter

I have time to write! We got the sisters to fill the Faunt :) Like they should, its their baptism. But I was able to do the interview and i always love doing   interviews. So much fun and i learn a lot myself. This little boy Mario of 11 years of age is great. He is the only one in his family who will be baptized for now. His mom and 3 hermanos always come but he is kind of being the example for them. SO hopefully all goes well today at the baptism. Im excited and content.

Sounds like home is same old same old. Have things changed much? I feel like i cant comprehend any change as i feel like im dreaming and that i will return and things will continue the same. But i dont think it will be like i think. I am preparing myself for the rest of my life and i know what i want in life now. And so with that knowledge and desires, i see the future a lot different. I like it. 

Well. This week was interesting. There are just waves of things to do. It is never just some work here and some work there. Its always a ton to do all at once and its nuts. But i like it. I am learnign a ton.

This week, we went bowling with the district and it was pretty good. i almost got a turkey. Umm, then i got a mcflurry. Then we worked in our area. We ahve been working with Octavio a lot. he has his baptismal date for august 30. i will explain a little more later.

This week we also had our meeting with president where the 3 zones combine and have a meeting all day from 8 am to 4 pm. Almost the entire meeting i was coming and going. We had to go pick up an hermanas mediceine during, then go get lunch, then leave again for i dont remember why. But this conference was full of surprises. Lately in this mission there have been tons of elders going home for disobedience. Music, movies, etc. So this conference there are NEW RULES: Music is only Mormon tab choir and efy. And classical music. Before it was a lot more open to what you could listen to. Now its like that. I am happy with that as it doesnt change anynthing i have. BUT there is a new rule as well about instruments. We cant have an instrument anymore. I have to sell the guitar. I just about cried when i found that out. I didnt play it a lot, as i have no time. But when i did i loved it and i could relax and enjoy a few minutes of just chillin playing the guitar. So im still struggling to let go of that one but i will be looking for a buyer or member to give it to. I might take it home as well. Not sure. I could put it into theattic and then take it home but its not that nice so i think i will justtry to sell it. 

So thats the new that. Its too bad. But i am willing no doubt to sacrifice because i trust president and i know he recieves revelation for the mission. 

Not too much else has been going on.

Stories: It was 11:50 on tuesday night. We had just went to the bus terminal to drop off some new missionaries to go to their area. We then dropped the car off at the office and its about 12 now. We drop the car off and leave the office out the door. In the street, there is a man walking right past us. He looks....suspicious. We stoodin the street debating what way to go. Elder Furlanich told me lets go past him and if anything happens we just run. I said noooo.....i dont think so so we went the other way. When we were deciding, the man stopped too. And as we began walking the other way, he turned around and started following us walking fast. We said ok we run when we hit the corner. So we hit the corner, turned and Sprinted for a block and turned again. We thought we lost him so we walked down to the next block as we went to turn the corner we look back and SEE THE GUY IN THE STREET WALKING FAST. So we booked it home and got into the casa grande without him following us. But wow that was nuts!!!!

Story 2: I went on an exchange with the assistant elder Child. he is a good friend of mine. He came with me to visit Octavio but octavio wasnt there so we contacted his neighbor and founda guy named Tino. He is great. We taught about the restoration. He knows a ton. He mentioned that it mentions Joseph Smith in the book of Joel. We were like YESSS!!! Excatly! He also mentioned the melchezidek preisthood!!!! This guy is a genio en serio. He is fantastic. He started crying saying he felt really good. We told him he had found what he is looking for and we set a date with him for 20 de Septiembre. SO STOKED for Tino and Octavio.
