hello hello. So i read that we have 66 missionaries out in our old stake? is this true? holy crud. and more to come with the david, taylor, and whoever else in the ward who are preparing to go. I am excited to hear where they go. should be fun.
Sounds like home is good. normal normal. I am trunky sometimes but most the time i dont think about home. We have been busy with work finally and im excited to see what happens this next transfer.
This week....where do i begin.....ok P day. P day was ok. We went walking around centro, ate at mcdonalds hallelujah, and ya played a little ping bong at the stake center and went to grido, ice cream. Was an ok p day.
tuesday the last district meeting. It went real well. We had everyone share a little message about the attributes of christ. love, charity, patience, obedience, etc. Turned out great. Then we had a cake my companion made and talked and signed book for a little. Then we went to visit some members and investigatos. We had a great lesson with a menos activo family. Then we went finding by the spirit like normal. normal day really.
wednesday we went to cyber in the morning and looked up conference talks and stuff how we could help our investigators and found some good stuff. Then in the night we went again to menos activos and had a member come with us. We set a date with the son who wasnt baptized and i hope we can complete this one. Super great family. We missed ward council because of the lessons we had. But the president of the rama is a little weird. i dont know if he is evil or what but i sure get some weird feelings with him. But we missed council and he whined about it. Last time we went though he didnt give us any time to talk we just sat there. But its sad to see people like this in leadership cause it effects the whole branch and it has showed in the church. there is just no chemistry and love. But the ramas are going to converge so that should help.
thursday weekly planing in the morning. then we went out contacting some references with Erik, 18 yr old preparing to on a mission. He is super excited and were helping prepare him. I realize how little prepared i was haha. but we had some good lessons and good experiences with erik. we had dinner with the griffith family. They had a problem with the president of the branch (like half the people here) and they go to a different ward but are superactive and great and spiritual. They recieved a letter in the mail from president of the branch saying how they are declaring a disciplinary order against them. But its not official. its typed up sloppy in microsoft word piece of paper. it says like, brother griffith the bishopric is declaring a disciplinary order against your apostacy and rebellion. And yadada wahtever. I cant believe how the members here fight so much it is very sad. but it will change with the brqanches merging.
friday We had 2 baptismal interviews. My first 2 ever. they went well and it was excellent. Desire and Lautaro. 11 yers old and 10. Then we went to visit menos activos like normal and looked for new people to teach.
Saturday. Went oand did some service in the morning and had hot chocolate and tortas fritas. Super good. But then we had lunch and the lady was mad we couldnt finish our mountain of rice but oh well. We filled up on cocoa and tortas fritas. They are like donuts without sugar.....but they are crispy and ok.
In the night we had 2 baptisms. Super great. both of them. Lauti went in adn he looked up in the mirror and was waving and laughing and he was super happy afterwards. Desire is more shy and closed but she also liked it and was very happy as well.
Sunday. The stake presidency came. It was good. The griffith family came. (oh boy) and president didnt say hi or anything. super sad to see. But earlier in the week they asked us to plan the sacrement meeting. So we did. Elder figueroa is leaving the area so he was ready to speak. The sisters ended up speaking and then when figueroa was walking up to give his talk president stood up and told him to sit down cause there wasnt enough time. He was raging, my companion. But they didnt want him to talk because they know he drops cain. My companion was so mad. I dont blame him but i calmed him down and it ended up fine. But They do things here i just dont understand. But it turned out ok.
We just had some baptisms and are having success. I feel like more than anything we need to strengthen the members first. So thats the plan this week.
Also, we had transfer calls. Elder figueroa is leaving the are and going to zapala. I am staying and will have a compaion from el salvador. I hear he is giant. and loves to eat. But well see. Also he has 3 months in the mission. Should be a great time. But my comp leaves today at 3 pm. So i dont have much of a p day. Oh well. anything for the lord.
Love you all. keep working and enjoying life. If you have any question. ask. umm...i will know more about my comp next week. chao.
